Second partnership cross country goes off with a bang or should I say a whistle!!
Today saw the second of the Sir John Hunt partnership cross country events which are being held at various locations around the North West of the city. Today’s event was held at Aylesbury Crescent playing fields in Whitleigh and once again was run across an undulating course of around 1200m. Although the ground was a little damp the sun shone for the duration of the event which bought many supporters out for the four races.
Mary Dean primary school bought a strong team and took away the spoils in all four race categories, the overall team prize and also had winners in three out of the four races only stopped by Emily Turner from Widewell who took the year 6 girls title. For full results see below.
Widewell also lead the mini league being the only team who have taken part in both events so far.
The next and final event will be held at Eggbuckland community college on Wednesday 21st October, anyone wishing to enter this event should contact Lance Chatfield by this Friday.
