Tuesday 6th October saw the first in a series of three cross country events held by the Sir John Hunt Sports Partnership. Each of its 39 primary schools were invited to all three events the first of which was held at Devonport Park last night.
All schools could bring a maximum of six athletes for each of the four categories (year 5 and 6 boys and girls) and prizes were given to the winners in each category. Congratulations go to St Josephs for winning two of the age categories and winning the overall event and to St Pauls for also winning two out of the four age categories. For a full list of results see below.
The 1200m undulating course was a testing first event for the athletes but with great support from Stoke Damerel community colleges leaders all athletes made it round in good time.
The next event will be held at the Aylesbury Crescent football field’s site in Whitleigh on Monday 12th October. To enter please contact Lance Chatfield.
