Level 2 Inclusion Games 2018

Today was the Level 2 Inclusion games that took place at Plympton Academy. Seven schools took part in 4 different events which included mini red tennis, new age kurling, archery and seated volleyball.

Every child had the opportunity to take part in each activity.  There were lots of happy red faces throughout the day and a very good standard of skill to be seen! We'd like to thank our fantastic Plympton Academy leaders as well as everyone else who attended the event. In addition, an extra congratulations to participants who won medals for great sportsmanship, behaviour and attitude.

We had some great feedback from Mrs Horton at St Edward's Primary School;

"There is nothing more confidence boosting for a child to be the one picked. The children in that group are probably the last ones to be picked for things like this. It was amazing to see **** shine. To be the best at something. It was incredible to see **** focussed and being a great team player. What was more amazing though, that there was not a point at which **** felt different or **** had to explain why it was too difficult for her. This was possibly the most inclusive mainstream event I have ever seen. (Including some run by charities) I would say book as many of these as you can (if all are as good) And get children invloved."
