YST & FA South West Girls Game of Our Own

Tuesday 5th June 2018 at Bodmin Leisure Centre, PL31 1DE

This is an event for both teachers and students (4-6 girls per school) and is a mix of both practical and theory. The teachers element has been reduced so there is now no longer the pre-requisite for staff to have attended a previous 1 day teacher orientation event.  This has been replaced with a pre-event webinar which is approx. 30mins long and will give teachers an overview of the programme and some ideas on which girls to engage.

In addition, we are for the first time going to ensure that all the girls that attend the event leave having completed the Youth Sport Award Go level – this is great bonus and one that we hope you will celebrate with your schools.

To that end we are offering the opportunity for schools to bring another colleague along to attend our Youth Sport Award Coordinator training.  This will then allow the school to progress and involve more young people in the Youth Sport Award to reward their involvement in sports volunteering.
