KS2 Gymnastics Festival 21.03.18

Leaders from the Coombe Dean Aspire Gymnastics Club assisted with the KS2 Gymnastics Festival that was held at Coombe Dean on Wednesday 21st March.

The students are quickly learning how to motivate and communicate as well as having to offer coaching tips on how to improve performances.  Well done to Keira B, Maddison B, Saffy P, Hannah M, Grace G, Sophie K, Layla J, Emily J, Freya H, Louise R-N, Tom B, Dan M, Issac W, Ollie C, Kaiya W-F and Abbie T for working so well with the children and leading with such confidence!

Oreston, Wembury, Pomphlett and St Peters C attended the festival and the pupils enjoyed working on the beam, bar, trampette, and floor.  When asked which was their favourite the pupils responded: 'I lke the bars because I like hanging off it'; 'I like the trampette because you can bouce, practice shapes and landing' and 'I like the beam because I like to balance and practice shapes.'

Winners of the floor competition were 1st Max S from Pomphlett, 2nd Chloe H from Wembury and 3rd Phoebe S from Oreston.

Ella L from Oreston was 1st in the Springboard competition with Chloe H, Wembury, 2nd and 3rd was Mia-Grace J, Pomphlett.

Big thanks to our Aspire coaches Aimee and Becky for giving up their time to judge the competition.
