Year 3/4 Indoor Athletics 17

With 20 teams entering our Year 3/4 Indoor Athletics, we split them into two sessions. In the first session we had:

  • Salisbury Road
  • Elburton
  • Hyde Park
  • Austin Farm
  • Whitleigh
  • Pilgrim
  • St Edwards
  • St George’s

For Session 2:

  • Montpelier
  • Bickleigh Down
  • Woodford
  • High View
  • St Peter’s RC
  • St Peter’s C of E

First up on the track was the Girls for the 1+1 relay and then the 4 Lap Parlauf, whilst the boys took to the track for their first field event. The girls started the day off with some fantastic races and lovely changeovers whilst the boys produced some amazing schools in the field.

After a quick changeover, the boys then took to the track for the same events and the girls went over to their first field event.

The second set of races was the 2+2 and 4x1 relays. There was some exceptional races by both girls and boys and lots of cheering from their team on the sidelines!

The final, most fun race of the day was the obstacle. Each school entered a team of 4 and they had to complete a short obstacle course, consisting of high steppers, speed bounces and hurdles. Some finishes were incredibly close!!

A huge well done to all the athletes and a massive congratulations to our top three schools!
