Indoor Athletics- Tor Bridge

Our next Indoor Athletics event was held at Tor Bridge with four schools attending; Bickleigh Down, Leigham, Thornbury and Widewell.

The girls lit up the track first sprinting it out and setting the times to beat for the relays whilst the boys were jumping their way up the table in the field events. Then they had to swap over and it was the boys turn to race. They were neck and neck for the majority of the races whilst the girls also gave it their all on the track events.

It was then time to change over again and despite the events changing, the scores still remained pretty close ready for the all-important decider; the obstacle race!

The score were in:

1st- Bickleigh Down- 140

2nd- Leigham- 102

3rd- Thornbury- 80

4th- Widewell- 38

A big congratulations to all the schools for a very close competition and well done to Bickleigh Down who will go on to compete in the level 2 finals in February.

A huge thank you to Tor Bridge for hosting and providing some fantastic leaders. Also thank you to the students from Marjons for all their help on the night; making it run so smoothly.
