The purpose of the ‘Mountain-bike Instructors’ Award Scheme, MIAS, is to promote safe enjoyment of all aspects of mountain biking both on and off the road.
On Saturday the 19th September eight of our keen mountain biking teachers and coaches attended the gruelling one day course on Dartmoor where they rode on various terrains and demonstrated their mountain biking skills and map reading knowledge.
These teachers and coaches are now fully qualified to lead groups of students across Dartmoor and practice such skills as drop off’s and jumps.
Well done to all those who passed.
