5 Hours a Way Forward

Thirty Eight Primary PE Coordinators came together on the 16th September at the Devonshire Health and Rackets Centre to decide on the partnership priorities for this year.

Workshops were delivered on;

  • The data- Where are we now?
  • FUNS- An effective transfer tool
  • Use of the new website
  • Developing the potential of our year 5 and 6 leaders
  • Agreeing the way forward.

Following the meeting the following priorities were agreed;

  1. 100% of pupils to engage in at least one intra school competition by the end of this year. Aiming for 100% of pupils to engaged in at least 3 competitions a year over the next 3 years.
  2. 10% Increase in the number of leaders being utilised within our schools by the end of the year.
  3. 100% of KS2 teachers to be trained in FUNs and to start using the resource as a transfer tool.(over next 3 years)
  4. Ensuring all pupils have access to at least 1 additional hour at school outside of curriculum time each week.
