THE SOS GLOBAL CHALLENGE  DEVON COMMUNITY EVENT JULY 2012-SOS Global in conjunction with local businesses, service providers, and youth agencies are delighted to announce their “STAY SAFE CHALLENGE” featuring the internationally renowned new generation of It’s a Knockout. Ever wanted to try Ice Hockey? Now's your chance! And...it's free!Come along and take part in a free training session with qualified coaches and then compete against other secondary schools. All kit and equipment will be provided.This event is open to year 7 & year 8 students, girls and boys. Maximum of 8 in a team (as many teams as you want).For further information please contact Claire Crowther at crowtherc@ridgeway.plymouth.sch.uk.

This event can be found on the calendar on 15th June 2012.

3 V 3 Basketball Trails- This event is the trial for the Devon Games to Inspire.The top 2 teams will represent Plymouth at the Devon Games To Inspire on Saturday 30th June at Okehampton. There will be one age group: School Years 9, 10 & 11.Each squad should consist of a minimum of 4 players and a maximum of 5.  Teams cannot take the court with less than 2 players. RFU Young Officials Award -VENUE: Notre Dame RC School.DATE: Wednesday 2nd May

TIME: 09.00 to 16.30.DEADLINE: 27th April 2012.COST: 20.00

The Young Officials Award (YOA) provides an introduction for those aged between 14 and 19 into the officiating role, and allows them to get to grips with the basics of refereeing. The qualification looks at the fundamentals of officiating including communication, positioning, attitudes, management and control. It also provides further understanding of the key aspects of rugby such as the tackle, ruck, maul, scrum, line out and kick off.

Armada Athletics Network are hosted a Open Sportshall competition on Saturday 28th April from 1 - 4pm at the Life Centre in Plymouth.Entry is £2 per individual and is open to club members and school pupils and it will also be the official trial for the Plymouth Athletics squad for theDevongames to Inspire on Saturday 30th June.Please following the following link for the booking form; Armada Event
