SEN Rowing Competition

Today we held a hugely successful Rowing Competition at Woodlands.

We had 30 young people taking part from Plymstock, Eggbuckland, Tavistock, Woodlands and Riverside Primary.

The First heat was 3 mins and the Second heat was 2mins, then we had the finals...

Finals were 1 minute sprints.

1minutes Final Winners/ Medallists were:

Jorina                   Woodlands         166m

Kieran                   Plymstock            203m

Kofi                       Plymstock           209m

Brandon                 Plymstock           238m

Alex                      Plymstock           259m

Connor                  Eggbuckland       256m

James                   Eggbuckland       282m

Everyone who took part put every effort into their Rowing and were a credit to their school.

What was lovely to see was the support and encouragement coming from everyone competing but special mention went to Shannon and Kieran for sportsmanship as they were cheering constantly for not only their own team mates but for other competitors from other schools.

And well done to Plymstock who's individual scores accumulated the furthest distance and therefore won them the prestigious Jaffa Cakes (kindly donated by Paul the Rowing Coach who organised the event)!!

Well done to all that took part!!

Katy, Paul and Helen.
