Wow! – a record number of 10 teams! Another extremely enjoyable afternoon with 45 games being played in total and all 5 pitches being used constantly!
The games were closely contested and the teams were evenly matched. In the end only 2 points separated the top three. Riverside were the winners of this festival, with Mount Tamar second and Knowle in third place.
Games were played in a sporting manner throughout the afternoon and referees had trouble in awarding fair play points as all teams displayed such a sporting spirit. Well done to all teams!
Special mention must go to Downham who arrived for a game against Mill Ford and ended up joining in the whole tournament! Also to Rhys Crago from Hyde Park who turned up to referee, and ended up valiantly and sportingly playing with Downham. He was superb in both his attitude and effort. Thanks also to Lewis Sowden and Zac Trigger from Hyde Park Juniors who refereed throughout the afternoon.
Thanks to the following schools for supporting the event- Courtlands, Downham, Mount Tamar, Riverside, Hyde Park, Marlborough, Knowle.
Next primary football is on 14th March. Please book online.
