Secondary Competition update;
IMPORTANT-POINTS ALLOCATED-Some of the schools are saying that if they are playing a weak side, they put their weaker players on so that it is more fun for everyone. Therefore, they would get fewer points than if they had put their stronger side on. If we go for points difference to decide the league, this will stop this happening and will eventually discourage the weaker teams from entering. How about if it is a draw, we go to the result of the actual match between those 2 schools. If it is 3- way tie the points against will be used to determine the winners.
Basketball Updates;
Please note: Year 10 Basketball SDCC are no longer able to field a team for the Year 10 Basketball if any schools would like to take their place please let Robyn know ASAP psspadmin@sirjohnhunt.plymouth.sch.uk
PLEASE NOTE: Torbridge High are unable to put together a team to take part in the Year 8 centre venue basketball.
PLEASE NOTE: Plymouth College have replaced Plymstock in the U19 Boys Basketball League
The Year 10, 11 and U19 Basketball are due to all be finished by 3 February. This is probably not a realistic target looking at the number of games still to be played. We have now moved the completion date back to 16 March to give schools more time to arrange their matches. This will mean that the finals may not be played at Plymouth Pavilions now as the original date for this was 12 February. Jay Marriott will discuss arrangements for the Finals with the top 2 teams on 16 March. All the details about the matches to be played, results and latest tables for all age groups can be found by clicking on the following link http://www.plymouthssp.co.uk/content/secondary-competitions/6159/basketball and opening the Excel folder 'Basketball Fixtures and Results' .Any problems/questions please contact Helen Smith on hsmith@asap.org.uk
